Hatcher | Good overview of Bengali history from the 1200s to the 1600s. Decent analysis of the political, social, and economic aspects of Islamicization in Bengal, but the chapter on the spiritual and cultural aspects of Islamicization of Bengal (Ch. 10) seems quite a bit "other-ing," thus inadequate and unconvincing.
