有些地方不必要的細節和不太好的處理導緻劇情有點拖遝，不得不說電視劇改編得很好。但是整體來說劇情還是相當精彩的，尤其是最後在 Io 上的戰爭。

比上一本好看點，沒有米勒惡心的自戀YY，新的POV相對比較爽利，因為被電視劇改得太糟，反倒能理解霍頓一些瞭，小隊伍也有瞭些太空遊俠的意思。隻可惜結尾，雖然能預料到...另外一直沒覺著這算太空歌劇，都是些在地球上那個冰窟窿裏發現具上古屍體也能進行下去的故事，格局很小，但格局更小的電視劇能大受歡迎，說明大傢很渴望這一類型吧，希望因此那些有外星人的故事也會有人拍，但不要拍得假黑暗假深沉就好瞭。
