我知道你在些什麼，但我有時候感覺不到，慶幸的是隻是有時候。文化差異？估計是悟性差！也許是因為我的膽小與懦弱每當注釋這幾本《魔戒》的時候，就忍不住想能否有一天暫彆現實的生活，去到那令人熱血翻騰的中土世界！

其實這種小說分在科幻類裏都有些勉強。因為隻有幻想沒有科學嘛。中外科幻不一樣之處在這能看齣區彆。西方東方寫到古代文明時都是以自己大陸所發生的為背景。指環王背景是中世紀戰爭。使用冷兵器及初級火器。正邪兩方較量。隻不過小說中把邪惡一方作瞭異種處理，...

這本開始花開N朵，各錶N枝。總體是明暗交替。Aragon等捲入人族對抗魔道的正麵戰場，Rohan的昏君佞臣、Isengard的Ent大戰像戰國般精彩。Frodo（僞）馴服Gollum作嚮導不能更震驚。相比西邊的酣戰，Sam/Frodo與孤獨如影隨形。結尾兩章的華彩：（幾乎是）打破第四麵牆的對於神話、探險和自我選擇的討論，以及Sam的勇猛和抉擇。真正主角其實不是錶麵上的那幾個！
