海明威（1899～1961）美国小说家、诺贝尔文学奖获得者。

1899年7月21日生于芝加哥市郊橡胶园小镇。1923年发表处女作《三个短篇小说和十首诗》，随后游历欧洲各国。1926年出版了长篇小说《太阳照样升起》，初获成功，被斯坦因称为“迷惘的一代”。1929年，反映第一次世界大战的长篇巨著《永别了，武器》的问世给作家带来了声誉。30年代初，海明威到非洲旅行和狩猎。1952年，《老人与海》问世，深受好评，翌年获普利策奖。1954年获诺贝尔文学奖。卡斯特罗掌权后，他离开古巴返美定居。因身上多处旧伤，百病缠身，精神忧郁，1961年7月2日，海明威用猎枪自杀。海明威去世后发表的遗作主要有：《海流中的岛屿》（1970）和《伊甸园》（1986）。他那独特的风格和塑造的硬汉子形象对现代欧美文学产生深远的影响。

最喜欢的外文小说之一。中文版大二看完的，英文版最近才翻完。<a moveable feast>的当下意义很写实：屌丝年代有屌丝年代的活法儿，照样可以很潇洒；饥一顿饱一顿不算什么，饱尝饥肠辘辘之苦才知道食欲满足的幸福；写不出文字里没什么，“all you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.”；海明威的乐观感染力要比同时代的几个作家都强。这本书基本没谈感情困惑，都放在《the sun also rises》里说完了。

全五星赞到爆！虽然前言作者遮遮掩掩地说你也可以把这当成小说什么的，但是谁会把海明威和菲茨杰拉德谈尺寸谈姿势当！小！说！必须是真实记录啊，这才是所谓传记留下过往片段的真谛！看完后我被偶像对Scott的爱感动了……
