大概是第一次看戏剧(还是英文原版)会如此入迷…好想收藏到原版书。涉及到东西方不同的种族偏见以及性别上的差异与认同,基于<蝴蝶夫人>的更加有力的反讽,大快人心又情凄意切 ..笑Gallimard的"愚蠢"也悲他的"固执",依然印证了那句深情即是一桩悲剧必得以死来句读

The author considers the drama "a plea to all sides to dispel cultural and sexual misperception", but in fact, instead of facilitating the elimination of prejudice, it apparently accomplishes the opposite to some extent for Chinese in it are still stereotyped. There's no doubt though it's a fine work to study the writing of Chinese Americans.
