3.1 -3.5| from northern most to deep south would prefer a less involved and more cynical narrative voice in the novel |second book listened to twice in a row ended up liking the big George arc which mostly slipped my mind the first time the timeline set in the 80s is great just don't care for her mid-life crisis and religious salvation

这本书看了一半的时候又把电影翻出来重新看一次，虽然我已经看过N次了。电影非常经典，但是书绝对比电影好看N倍。就目前为止绝对是我最喜欢的一本书没有之一。Ruth&Idgie的感情比电影里直白多了，电影里的感情是含蓄内敛百合满满，书里才是真爱。人家Idgie是love at first sight,~电影里的经典台词在书里都是我们Idgie原创的，没其他人什么事。Idgie这个角色塑造得太完美了，the bee charmer的魅力太强大了。还有其他配角也是非常有爱的。Evelyn心里的OS和她的Towanda fantasy实在是太好笑，简直要吐血啊。另外特别提醒一句：此书不宜在公共场合观看，要嘛笑得花枝乱颤要嘛就哭得稀里哗啦，再或者一会哭一会笑，吓着身边的人可就不好了。。。

This is soooo good, so warm, with many many sweet stories from olden times. Absolutely love Dot Weems and the sarcastic tone she used when referring to her other half. Evelyn’s life crisis is equally touching. Have already downloaded the film but don’t plan to watch it, let the stories and characters remain what they are in my head.
