列维斯•洛克伍德,美国西方音乐史学家,贝多芬研究专家。1930年生于美国纽约,自幼热爱音乐,学习大提琴演奏。1952年,师从爱德华•罗文斯基教授在纽约城市大学的皇后学院学习,后来又在普林斯顿大学先后攻读艺术硕士和音乐学博士学位。1958年,成为普林斯顿大学教员,10年后升任教授。1980年,从普林斯顿大学转到哈佛大学,继续教学和研究工作,直到2002年退休。1982至1987年间,他曾担任美国音乐学协会主席,目前是哈佛大学范尼•皮博蒂音乐研究教授。洛克伍德的重要著述包括《文艺复兴时期费拉拉宫廷的音乐》、《贝多芬:创作进程研究》、《贝多芬:音乐与人生》、《在贝多芬四重奏之内:历史、表演、诠释》。
