The Demon-Haunted World

Carl Edward Sagan (November 9, 1934 – December 20, 1996) was an American astronomer and science popularizer. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence (SETI). He is world-famous for his popular science books and the television series Cosmos, which he co-wrote and presented. He also wrote the novel Contact on which the 1997 film of the same name starring Jodie Foster was based. In his works, he frequently advocated the scientific method.(From Wikipedia.org)

自从读过萨根先生的《宇宙》一书后，便心心念念地想读一读他的其它作品。后来，我庆幸借到了一本由李大光先生翻译的《魔鬼出没的世界》。何为庆幸？其一，书中传达的要将怀疑精神与好奇心相结合的科学态度，让我受益匪浅。其二，庆幸我又省了一本买书的花费。萨根的书值...

只能说这本书是不错的科普书，用例证、类比、故事这类论证手法较多，多了一分亲和力和通俗性，但少了严谨。并且书中并没有抽象地谈论科学思维方法论，最接近的地方也就是一个例证：车库中的飞龙。然而实际上从例证到严格的、抽象的方法论，还是有相当远的距离的，同学们如果认...
