作者简介

阿瑟·高顿（Arthur Golden），生于美国田纳西州查塔努加（Chattanooga），本科毕业于哈佛大学艺术史系，专攻日本艺术。1980年，获哥伦比亚大学日本史硕士学位，兼修中文。在北京大学进修一个夏季之后，他到东京工作。回到美国后他在波士顿大学获英文硕士学位。目前他与妻子和两个孩子定居马萨诸塞州布鲁克林。《艺伎回忆录》是其发表的第一部长篇小说。

读后感

逆境就像一阵狂风， 从我们手中夺走本来无法被夺走的东西， 狂风过后， 我们看到是原形毕露的自己。 我学会了让我性格里的水凝滞结冰， 唯有用这种方法停止我思潮的自然流动， 我才能忍受这等待。  

整部小说的剧情其实很简单，就是一个底层女性奋斗追求真爱故事，然而带上了艺妓的标签，总让人萌生一探究竟的冲动。 艺妓回忆录是一个爱情故事，小百合对爱的追逐，从那杯甜冰开始，她余生所做的一切都是为了接近她心中的那个男人（会长）。 而事实上，故事结束前，小白和总共...  

“但如今我已明白，我们的世界不再是无风无浪，一成不变。不管有什么争斗与胜利，我们都可以挺受过来。但很快就会散开成为一层薄薄涂料，正像水彩颜料涂到了一张纸上。” 这是书的结尾，小百合以平静的口吻诉说完自己的故事，正如她的生命也走到了尽头。 得到这本书...
