For this new edition, Thomas West has revised the introduction and updated the annotated bibliography, which includes the best of the secondary literature on Socrates and on the texts included in this book.In their translations, the Wests capture successfully the simplicity and vigor of straightforward Greek diction. 缺了Phaedo不幸福。corrupt youth倒是贴切，青年时最不该学的就是哲学，学些皮毛，绣口一吐就是一堆包着逻辑和理性皮囊的垃圾。我一直在想象柏拉图的刻画和真实的苏格拉底有多大的出入。天不生仲尼，万古如长夜。用话语的碎片拼凑出来的苏格拉底和孔子，万一不存在怎么办。
