But when he confides to his best friend that he is also in love with a goat (named Sylvia), he sets in motion events that will destroy his family and leave his life in tatters.
The playwright himself describes it this way: Every civilization sets quite arbitrary limits to its tolerances. The play is about a family that is deeply rocked by an unimaginable event and they solve that problem. It is my hope that people will think afresh about whether or not all the values they hold are valid.

评分延续了Edward Albee的戏剧风格，同样又是剧中人物在喋喋不休地争吵，但这出戏剧的笔触更为大胆，人兽、同人、娈童、父子…褪去荒诞的外衣，剧中角色的语言、行为却又是合乎情理的。
评分It's such a disturbing play. But as what Albee usually does, it questioned sex, love, marriage, family, society. And it is hard to think about the meaning behind it.
