这是我最喜欢的外文小说，高中看的中译本，英译本一直没有读完，花了两个下午的时间慢慢磨完。中译本的感情过于抽象，而英译版因语境相同可能更接近于原版，没有过多的辞藻堆砌，一切语言都很直白，她的爱、难过和痛苦都触碰的非常直接。一直说想学德语结果依旧没学上，下次再读这本一定是德语入门之后了，第一视角再读一遍这本书。一个小女孩从孩童时期起对成年男性的景仰转化成的深厚的爱，而无私的爱只能换来一次次的“不认识”和“模糊“，甚至他的管家都认出了十多年没见的她，他依旧认不出，即使他对她两次心动。她每年在他生日前都送他一束白玫瑰，他提起只有“They were a present, but I don't know who sent them, that’s why I'm so fond of them."

在薄荷阅读看的英文版小说，唉，觉得可以理解她的做法，但是我自己来的话不会这样做，可能我也不会喜欢一个人喜欢那么久。心心念念的男人从来没记得自己生了娃睡了两次第二次还以为自己是妓女还给塞钱，心碎了。看了好几本英文小说后觉得这个写得太好了。

案头上买了很多原版书，一本都没有动，最终还是用付费阅读的方式，完成了第一本原版阅读。茨威格，一个陌生女人的来信。张爱玲说，爱可以卑微到尘埃里。我始终觉得，一个不懂得爱自己的人也不会真正懂得去爱别人。歌手李健在看完这本书以后，写了王菲那个版本的传奇这首歌。
