还是青少年的时候，读过中文版的A Dog's Life，具体细节不太记得了，只记得当时的自己很喜欢，且这是第一位我读过的以狗狗的视觉写人类生活的书籍（作者的英文原版出版于1995）。时隔多年，无意间打开Mayle出版于1989年的成名作A Year in Provence. 在作者笔下法国南部优美、令人放松的乡间生活畅游，体会更多的还是作者很棒的文笔和字里行间的幽默。这是一本游记/旅居/回忆录/文化观察体验等等这一类别里面写得很棒的书。非常适合夏日和假期。
评分得有一定法语基础读起来才更有味道 Peter Mayle很幽默！
