这是本无论对刚开始学建筑还是已经在这个专业摸爬滚打多年的人都大有助益的书。虽然内容上还是比较传统的详解了美洲欧洲的建筑（当然我们中国建筑在里面是一点没有的啦，不过加拿大的建筑师也就只讲了Hafdie一个~），但是作者对建筑史学、美学、结构学和各地文化的了解让人折...

例子还是还详实的，而且描述没有过于批判，比Frampton的现代建筑批判历史好读很多。不太喜欢31章，所以助教的课里没有用这个章节。但是584页的Hajj Terminal把我和我的小伙伴都惊呆了-- 地域文化，结构美学，技术理性，纪念性--如同空降般的嵌在荒秃的地貌上。这应该就是传说...
