和格林·丹尼尔的《考古学一百五十年》比起来，这是本大众版的考古学史，作者和译者的文笔都还不错，像讲故事一般向读者介绍小亚、埃及、两河流域和阿兹台克、马雅的考古发现史。 考古学的先驱们都是有着梦想和苦干精神的人，好多人都是用毕生的精力来圆儿时的梦想，也...  

56页“人世间最大的幸福莫过于年纪轻轻就舒舒服服地离开人间”，不知道原文是怎样，如果原文就是这意思的话，让我感觉很惊诧，很想了解下产生这种人生观的历史背景....  

应该是从小时候看的秦始皇陵纪录片开始，对考古就开始产生了兴趣。跨越时间的维度，再现同一片土地上，在千年前发生的故事，总让人有一种莫名的欣喜，彷佛是活过更长的时间，经历了更丰富的人生。 让尘封的历史重见天日，亲眼所见的考古人该是怎样的心情呀，应该不亚于科学大发...

第一次读这本书是99年, 前言上写着曾被用作教材 目录里涵盖了庞培，特洛伊，迈锡尼，克里特，埃及，亚述，巴比伦，苏美尔，阿兹台克，玛雅，托尔特克…… 内页里记载的全是那些古老的世界里传奇的经历 丝毫没有古板，老套的说教 倒是象极了《夺宝骑兵》里的故事 一点乏味的感觉...
