書挺難懂的，很多介紹背景的段落，感覺故事占的比例並不多。諾頓這本後麵加瞭很多背景知識介紹，還有批評文章，但真的看不下去，怎麼那麼多。

The more important aspect of this book is the critic edition which contains the background, related theory and critic essays of this novel. It introduces me about how Americans analyze a novel. I can learn from it in my later research on other novels.
