评分為瞭寫論文費勁韆辛萬苦找到這本書。這本小說曆史價值和學術價值遠遠大於它的藝術性和趣味性~也難怪隻印瞭一版~
评分和《女勇士》相比，同樣充滿著湯亭亭獨特風格的奇思和跳躍，但《中國佬》的男性視角涉及瞭很多公眾曆史事件——華人勞工在夏威夷種甘蔗地、修鐵路，反共狂潮和參加越南戰爭的故事，讀來很有感觸，感覺像是在看一部血淚華人移民史，個人更喜歡這一本。
评分華裔勞工異鄉血淚史。讀完原文再讀譯本感覺像在讀兩本不一樣的書。 2019.9.13再度讀完。
