萨米耶·德梅斯特（Xavler de Maistre，1763—1852），出身贵族，投身军旅，1790年因为一场决斗事件被罚关禁闭在家中42天，并在这段期间内以玩票性质写成《在自己房间里的旅行》一书，1795年甫一出版，便成为畅销书，引起极大注意与回响，开创此种另类游记的先河，在19世纪法国文学史上算得上经典之一。德梅斯特不自认为作家，著作也不多，流传下来的可能仅只这本书。

What do you do when you find yourself imprisoned in your room for six weeks? Xavier de Maistre, a twenty-seven-year-old Frenchman found himself in this uneasy situation when he was arrested in Turin after a duel, in the Spring of 1790. 最早是在书店看到它。封套上夸大其词的宣传，书中的大字体和大量的留白，让我断定这是一本商业目的太重的不值得一读的小书。后来在豆瓣上又一次看到它时早已忘了书店中的印象了，仅仅是被这个书名吸引，就到网上书店订购了本。 拿到书后才懊恼，我怎么会买下它呢。不过既然买...  

难看死了。 好比痛苦的便秘一般，一点一点坚持把它看完。之后发现还不如便秘呢，看完了反而更失望，就这样啊，毫无欣喜舒畅之感，直觉得浪费时间感情。就我写写也比他的有可读性呢。真是！整个页面设计也不让人感到愉悦。 顶着这么好看一顶帽子，怎么下面流着脓的瘌痢头呀。  

凡人称之为肉体的东西，柏拉图称之为“他我”到了萨米耶嘴里就成了“兽性”因战事而禁闭，肉身禁锢的42天灵魂却在飘飘然 人都喜好胡思乱想，向往美丽爱情的，憧憬美好未来的。女人揣摩自己在男人心中的样子，男人估量女人的轻重分量。小孩子想着妖魔鬼怪的各种招数，老人或许...

买这本书之前一直以为她是本心灵的游记，读了才发现没有这么简单，书中还有一些作者的个人哲学观隐含在其中，你如果能接受这种逻辑，那么继续读罢，你会游弋在作者的神游当中，如果你不同意，那么试着去接近，并体会那种感觉吧
