Krapp's Last Tape was first performed by Patrick Magee at the Royal Court Theatre in October 1958, and has since been played by a host of distinguished actors including Albert Finney and Max Wall.
Embers was specially written for radio and first performed in 1959.
I think Krappa may be a story-teller rather than a recorder of his live. The beautiful girl was his mother, and he was the child in that black hooded perameter, the "I" is someone who seduced his mother or it's Krapp in his imagination. The off and on of the record give us more possibility to analyse the story.Pespective effect of time and narrator.
