Marjane Satrapi was born in 1969 in Rasht, Iran, and currently lives in Paris. She has written several children’s books and her commentary and comics appear in newspapers and magazines around the world, including The New York Times and The New Yorker. She is also the author of the internationally best-selling and award-winning comic book autobiography in two parts, Persepolis and Persepolis 2.

第一次读伊朗作品，感觉颇为新奇。作者是伊朗前王室后裔，在奥地利接受高等教育，大学期间有过一次婚姻，也是蛮传奇的。作者的代表作《我在伊朗长大》，有人建议与本书一同食用。 《欲望德黑兰》讲的是一群女性（目测有亲戚，好像也有朋友）饭后的八卦闲聊，有发生在别人身上的...

有趣的书，七大姑八大姨的闲话长谈。

原来就是我在伊朗长大的作者，可真是拣到便宜了，4.5新到手～ 前面好几处真的很好笑，很俏皮的睿智，后面有些平。封底的推荐语虽然都是大牌，但是其实都是夸我在伊朗长大系列的，足见这本底气不足。应该三星半吧，只是我拣了个大便宜，升半星。原价17刀的说。

结局非常有意思。

看的英文版。果然读英语作品光词汇量大还不够，很多句子表达或者光是embroideries这个意思都值得体会，学英语难的不是听力阅读写作口语啊…难的是文化的隔阂。蛮有意思的小说，纽约客推荐，印象中保守传统的伊朗女人大聊男性，看到有个评论蛮深刻，摘下来“这是女人的话题。却又不仅仅是女人的话题。书中的问题并不只在伊朗这种社会才存在；全世界愿意为男人付出的的傻女人都一样。女人，究竟如何才能按照自己的意愿生活？”
