All that changes when he sees master potter Min making his beautiful pottery. Tree-ear sneaks back to Min’s workplace and dreams of creating his own pots someday. When he accidentally breaks a pot, he must work for the master to pay for the damage. Though the work is long and hard, Tree-ear is eager to learn. Then he is sent to the King’s Court to show the master’s pottery. Little does Tree-ear know that this difficult and dangerous journey will change his life forever.

这是一个很美的故事，以一种缓缓道来的感觉叙述了树耳的经历。每一个人物性格鲜明。最为显著的要数明师傅，他是一个表面刁钻苛刻，内心压抑情感释放，对艺术极尽追求完美的人。或许艺术家的性情都会有些奇怪吧。

情节稍简单了一点，但它是给孩子读的书，所以也就还可以罢。算励志吧。crane man的结局却有点太韩剧了。

剧情/背景/音乐/人物设置 都很东方色彩很浓厚的小说，youtube上有个10分钟白人小孩拍的短电影，看起来挺好的
