从个体命运视角审视大历史，大逻辑欠佳，却显出历史的另一种真切。从窥探美国上流社会的生活轶事和个人史来讲，是非常有趣的阅读体验。对services（忘了是这个名字吗）的故事和bundy的故事最为喜欢，印象深刻。
