王爾德的代錶作，由其情人為之譯為英文。比亞茲拉哥特式的配圖精準地 描繪齣瞭王爾德所要錶現地那種匪夷所思而又寓意深刻的氛圍。田漢的中譯有些地方挺雷人。還是直接看英文的好。 讓我欣賞的是其中對於月光和愛的描寫，充滿瞭蒼白與淒艷。莎樂美隻是一個無法得到自己所嚮往的...

王爾德的文字總是略陰鬱，但是又美麗。莎樂美是美麗的。莎樂美眼裏的聖徒約翰也是美的。雖然拒絕她求愛後在她口中變得也醜陋不堪。故事裏的人充斥瞭太多的愛欲和死亡。每個人都痛苦。都求而不得。 最後，每個人的罪惡交纏，莎樂美對聖徒的糾纏，希律王對侄女的肉欲，...

I read the English version in PDF, so just randomly pick one for comments. Well recomposed from the story of Salome in Holy Bible. The scarlet terrifying love of desire was eventually punished, and the king who claimed to be afraid of nothing got fear as the ill omens came real. Far more profound than that I can even hardly tell.

“The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death.” 王爾德用風流蘊藉又熱情奔放的語言訴說瞭這個淒美的愛情故事。 莎樂美寜願放下一切尊嚴，最終也沒得到先知對她的正眼相看。捧著先知冰冷的頭顱，最後一段如歌如泣的質問，乃是這部戲劇的點睛之筆。王爾德曾評論道“I represent to you all the sins you have never had the courage to commit” 這大概就是我居然有點同情莎樂美的原因瞭吧。 她的罪過是那麼美，任誰也不忍苛責。
