最近在讀的小說都是少年讀物，裏麵主角年齡大緻12歲左右。一個好的作品就是人物符閤她那個年齡段的意識，就我之前所讀的，多多少少有成人視角，而這部小說，是成功的。12歲，簡單的愛，簡單的恨，簡單的思考，簡單的活著，但模模糊糊，好像所有東西浮現齣瞭影子，有暗有深，這就是少年走嚮成人的第一步，世界多棱多角，光怪陸離。女主是通過Adam看到的這一角世界，而adam本身又是一個沒長大的成人，所以她的成長又容納瞭其他孩子所沒有的異樣，而這種異樣在她的反抗與抉擇中路走嚮諒解。成人很忙，看似愛的漫不經心，其實愛的深不見底。 "Did she write him letters?" "Adam keeps thoes too." I see NaNa's quite tears for Adam.

我從沒想過書裏作者強調的lack of communications of a generation， 我讀到最後一直在想著time will heal. I always want to have an uncle like Adam. He laughs, he plays, he will never leave. He will say, "how are you, Hattie Owen? How do you do?" But it turns out that time past and everything has an end.
