最後一本Ron Chernow，也是他最被為人所知的作品。事實也的確如此，雖然此書有著Chernow文筆優美、刻畫人物栩栩如生、史料詳實、故事跌宕起伏等優點，但這次他寫的曆史並不是那麼吸引我，更多的刻畫瞭猶太人的曆史而非金融、政治。除此之外，本書希望刻畫的人物太多，以至於整體結構有些鬆散和倉促，如果全篇都寫Siegmund要有趣得多。當然，這是以Chernow自己的標準嚴要求，和他人比此書還是很不錯的。

作者一直把瓦爾堡的性格寫得很專製很神經質（而且並不是發病期間），可能他看到瞭我們沒看到的資料吧。以瓦爾堡一代四兄弟為綫索，史實非常有用
