House Made of Dawn

纳瓦雷•斯科特•莫马迪（1934—），美国作家、画家、学者，其父亲是基奥瓦印第安人，母亲有部分切罗基印第安血统。其代表作《日诞之地》（House Made of Dawn, 1968）获1969年普利策小说奖，为美国“印第安文艺复兴”拉开序幕，对莱斯利•西尔科、路易丝•厄德里克、谢尔曼•阿莱克西等美国当代印第安作家产生深远影响。他的主要作品还有小说《古时候的孩子》（The Ancient Child, 1989）、诗集《跳葫芦舞的人》（The Gourd Dancer, 1976）、故事集《通向雨山之路》（The Way to Rainy Mountain, 1969）、回忆录《姓名》（The Names: A Memoir, 1976）等。莫马迪曾先后获得美国诗人学会奖、普利策小说奖、意大利蒙德罗国际文学奖、美国西部文学联合会奖、美洲原住民作家协会终身成就奖、美国国家艺术奖章等。
