评分Possible directions: The hypocrisy of Christian gentlemen; the freedom of Portia (The relationship between gender conflict and racial or religion conflict); Shylock's Jewish characteristics (He's a "Stage Jew" but he's also the one who speaks the truth; law? justice? miserly? puritan? Or does he really convert every thing into money?)

评分莎翁的喜剧都很诡异，围绕着赠戒指纠结不清，法庭上强词夺理，女儿帮着外人偷家里东西等。还有就是孤寡犹太商人实在被欺负得太惨了。
