倫納德•邁爾（Leonard B. Meyer, 1918.1.12-2007.12.30），美國當代著名音樂美學傢、音樂文化史學傢和音樂著述傢。1949年在哥倫比亞大學取得音樂碩士學位，後在芝加哥大學攻讀文化史專業，並於1954年取得博士學位。曾任教於芝加哥大學和賓夕法尼亞大學。著有《音樂的情感與意義》、《音樂的節奏結構》、《風格與音樂：理論、曆史與意識形態》等多部重要著作，是20世紀音樂哲學中心理學傾嚮的代錶人物。

譯者簡介：

劉丹霓，上海音樂學院音樂學係音樂文獻編譯碩士，現為上海音樂學院在讀博士生，師從楊燕迪教授。已齣版譯著《西方音樂簡史》，並參與翻譯《西方音樂1500年》。
