很简明扼要的梳理，亚里士多德一节好，出于心理科学的学科定位和思考而追寻到哲学根源，对西蒙栋而言，重要的问题不是同不同意笛卡尔式的理解，因为这种理解已经被笛卡尔主义者进行了历史延异，西蒙栋想要跳出笛卡尔主义的偏见但没有全然否定笛卡尔的思想，辩证理解很必要，但他也注意到了辩证理解使得人类也陷入了自己的辩证圈中。

以动物之名对于西方哲学，思想史进行的回望，由于本篇系一篇初级性质讲座的讲稿，因此很多内容不过是浅尝辄止，例如没有论及达尔文，拉马克，柏格森等等。但是不难发现Simondon关于技术个体性到动物个体性研究的迁移，可以作为哲学或者Simondon技术哲学理论入门之作来看。

虽然讲的是人-动物，但感觉很多可以用来看人-技术之间的关系。斯蒂格勒借鉴了很多西蒙栋的灵感，比如关于“个体性”作为是“灵魂的品质”；比如关于“心理的-器官的-社会的”划分，以及人-物平等的底色。而我们研究物，恰恰是希望理解人。
