评分極為簡明的譜係，基本是一個辯證過程：從古代通過自然理解人與動物，到笛卡爾哲學的截然對立，再到19世紀以降通過動物來理解人
评分以動物之名對於西方哲學，思想史進行的迴望，由於本篇係一篇初級性質講座的講稿，因此很多內容不過是淺嘗輒止，例如沒有論及達爾文，拉馬剋，柏格森等等。但是不難發現Simondon關於技術個體性到動物個體性研究的遷移，可以作為哲學或者Simondon技術哲學理論入門之作來看。
