【醫學驚悚天後】泰絲．格裏森Tess Gerritsen

齣生於加州聖地牙哥。母親是第一代華人移民，擁有華裔血統的她從小就喜歡窩在電影院看驚悚片，因而培養齣她對黑暗主題的興趣，並反映在她後來撰寫的小說中。

泰絲畢業於名校史丹佛大學，而後繼續深造，最後取得加州大學舊金山分校醫學博士學位，於夏威夷檀香山展開她繁忙的內科醫師生涯。熱愛寫作的她，結婚生子後為瞭照顧兩個幼兒減少工作量，並開始嘗試寫作。

一九九五年對泰絲的寫作生涯是重要的轉捩點，在經紀人的鼓勵下，泰絲把自身的醫學背景寫進小說中，結果隔年齣版的《貝納德的墮落》（Harvest）大受歡迎，讓「泰絲．格裏森」這個名字首度躍居《紐約時報》暢銷排行榜。從此她專攻結閤醫學和犯罪的醫學驚悚小說，迄今又齣瞭十餘本書，本本暢銷，更創作齣波士頓法醫莫拉．艾爾思和女警探珍．瑞卓利聯手辦案的係列小說。
