课程用书。Peacock认为，塞尔柱帝国第三任苏丹Malik Shah I与他的维齐尔Nizam al-Mulk之间的关系，是后者架空前者；在这个解释上，他支持将1092年的Nizam被刺案归因到Malik身上，属于传统学派史观。我的解释是Nizam在1072到1089这17年中扮演了Malik的白手套，在Malik的授意下做了很多为塞尔柱游牧传统所不容的脏活，比如处死内战中Malik的政敌——同时也是他的叔叔——Qavurt，及刺瞎Qavurt两个儿子的眼睛（盲人没有继承权，这个习俗大致是从拜占庭传过来的），否则无法解释他用于贿赂Qavurt支持者的巨额财产来源。因此，Nizam被刺或许是可能出于Malik的授意，但“复仇”的可能性可以排除。
