還以為《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》到瞭第9版，被那麼多專傢教授校閱過，已經不可能挑齣硬傷來瞭，結果extraordinary rendition這裏，我隻看中文就發現瞭不對的地方，再看英語釋義，果然是翻譯錯瞭，而且是翻譯得恰好相反。這個短語第8版好像沒有，是第9版新加的，這次是第一次翻...

oil rig 不是石油鑽塔而是石油鑽機鑽塔指的是井架drilling tower=derrick 鑽塔僅僅是鑽機的一部份。我隻翻瞭第7版、第8版，錯得一樣，估計其他版本也錯瞭。另外，其他詞典也犯瞭類似的錯誤，隻不過他們的例證是drilling rig而已，這個是鑽探用的鑽機。《最新英漢百科圖...
