終於到Gosh去買瞭Adrian Tomine的新書Shortcomings來。盡管在Amazon上可以更便宜，但忍不住一個星期的等候，再說也是支持獨立書店吧。Anyway 雖說書扉頁注上這是作者在UK的debut，實際上已在專門書店看到過不少他的作品。他畫風工整秀麗，接近於Daniel Clowes一類美國成人漫畫...

故事太碎碎念，如坐針氈……

如此細膩的感情刷新瞭我對漫畫的認識。不落俗套的故事，清麗細緻的畫風。

行吧。我果然看不瞭這種缺乏戲劇性單純以筆觸來描寫人物內心的作品。我覺得男主那種虛榮與自卑，就算沒有美國亞裔這一背景，也讓人印象深刻。而我不喜歡的原因是，在這個故事裏，所有的抉擇都不是齣於無奈，隻是齣於男主的本心——他的悲哀是他自己製造的。這種沒有外力而進行的抉擇，能夠窺視這個人物很內裏的觀念。而我不喜歡這樣的故事，因為有時這些觀念會令我氣憤和討厭——但我相信作者在塑造這樣一個人物的時候就沒想著要人喜歡。三星，雖然我不喜歡，但是也可以讀來看看。
