Synopsis

I know about water: it's wet, I drink it, and I have a bath in it. But what else is there to know about water? Where does my tap water come from? Rain is water that falls out of the sky, and makes puddles for me to splash in. When I go swimming in water I can float in it, but I can't breathe underwater. The sea is the biggest water in the world, and it tastes salty. Some animals live in water, but can't live on land. My dad sometimes sprays water all over the plants in our garden. When water goes into the freezer, it goes hard and turns into ice. This book draws on these childhood experiences and observations, and provides explanations to develop understanding. The activities included are: making water clean and testing ice.
