McEwan的文字是极妙极抓心的.一个女人用其一生完成她的inner transformation.意识形态和生活信条的不断塑造完善最终找到最适合自己的活法. “....I had courage,physical courage,and that I could stand alone.That's a significant discovery for a woman...” 当女性能够独自生活才能掌控自己的命运。

以第三方身份家访情感，又分别从各自视角出发回忆共同时光，引入黑犬悬念每次欲言又止直到最后一段才揭开谜底，就这个层面来说还挺有趣。问题是里面夹杂了太多政治，尤其是把男女方巨大差异往政治取向上引导，包括在柏林的政治经历，实在不是我喜欢的类型。总的来说，这本比较散漫、嘈杂，欠缺纯粹。
