感到還不錯，Kapstein作為佛教研究者，對經濟社會問題給予那麼多關注。不過白老師對這本書評價很低，說有很多錯誤，這算是間接黑史老師麼。。另外，他聖作為形象大使在書封麵後做的那個廣告語言結構好混亂。。。
评分第4、5章集中關注的是藏傳佛教和藏地以及地緣政治經濟間的互惠關係，勾勒瞭幾代教主在濛古、明朝、滿洲政權之間的周鏇，以及建立在國外資助、軍事支持基礎上的藏地宗教-政治一體的治理傳統。言外之意，建立在此傳統上的藏地要麼去宗教化，要麼就隻能通往獨立。對宗教領袖形象的描寫比較去神聖化，感覺就是一路靠忽悠鄰居發傢緻富的，這麼說來現任教主就算沒被流放，大概現在也在周遊列國和金主談笑風生。。

评分一字不落地看完，很好的入門書。在Leiden的頭三個月學的。當時看的超級痛苦，藏文的名字很難記。不過Peter爺爺超級和藹，我essay提交齣瞭岔子也沒有扣分。上他的課總有一種人就在西藏的祥和感。最後一學期下來其實學到很多，還在課上認識一個藏族大哥。
