黄宗智，美国加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校历史系教授，中国研究中心创办主任（1986-1995年）。《近代中国》季刊（Moden China）创办编辑（1975年至今）。主要著作有：《华北的小农经济与社会变迁》，中华书局，1986年版（2000年重版）；《长江三角洲小农家庭与乡村发展》，中华书局，1992年版（2000年重版）等。

總覺得還會用到……

Ch.5-7 (Dian, Topsoil Ownership, Debt)是很硬很硬的核心，Ch.9-10则和Sommer有很好的对话。最后一章提到的“mentality”为如何使用档案打开了一个新方向，具体的研究已由他的学生跟进。期待继续读他的Civil Justice! 要去看Geertz的Local Knowledge!
