现象学怎么用？这就是答案：psychopathology的现象学。比较开眼界的是作者用一个机制把精神分裂的positive symptom和negative symptom都联系起来了：社会能力的丧失源于主体间性的崩坏。病人对他人的态度同样运用到对自我的身上，导致了一系列positive symptom，例如幻听，属于morbid objectification of inner speech；loss of agency来自hyperreflexivity（从implict认知模式转换到explicit）。整本书脑洞极大，诗意盎然，读不出病人的痛苦，这一点有些怪怪的。
