白睿文(Michael Berry),1974年齣生於美國芝加哥,哥倫比亞大學現代中國文學與電影博士,現職加州大學聖巴巴拉分校東亞係副教授。主要研究領域為當代華語文學、電影、流行文化和翻譯學。
著作包括Speaking in Images:Interviews with Contemporary Chinese Filmmakers(2005),《痛史:現代中國文學與電影的曆史創傷》(A HistoryofPain:Trauma in Modem Chinese Fiction and Film,2008)與《賈樟柯的故鄉三部麯》XJiaZhangke’SHometown Trilogy.2009)。
中英譯作包括王安憶《長恨歌》(The Song of Everlasting Sorrow,2007)、餘華《活著》(To Live,2004)、葉兆言《一九三七年的愛情》(Nanjing 1937:A Love Story,2003)、張大春《我妹妹》與《野孩子》(Wild Kids:Two Novels About Growing Up,2000)。
