以理性对感觉的从属为核心命题，哈钦森/牛顿方法的影响与冲突贯彻始终，感觉最厉害的点是用这些线索破开Treatise文本（主要是第一卷）的展开思路，以及解释文本中之所以存在暧昧之处以及引起后世误读的原因，同时也堵住了很多觉得有意思可以继续往下想的进路。最后最纳闷的点是按这个解释思路到底怎么评价休谟在哲学史上的地位。18.8-10.
