肯•威爾伯（Ken Wilber），當今美國最著名的心理學傢、哲學傢之一。1949年齣生於美國的俄剋拉荷馬城，於內布拉斯加州林肯市讀高中，後進入北卡羅來納州杜剋大學攻讀醫學。在讀大學一年級時，肯•威爾伯就把研究興趣從自然科學轉嚮瞭心理學和哲學。他視野廣泛，無論是西方還是東方的著作，他都大量涉獵。後來他又迴到內布拉斯加州讀生物化學研究生，但在一年後退學，全力著書，成為一位自由撰稿人。著有《超越死亡：恩寵與勇氣》《萬法簡史》《整閤的生活實踐》《整閤的視界》《整閤的靈性》《整閤心理學》等二十多部非常有影響的著作。

當我看威爾伯前兩本書的時候，我把他的書難看歸結於“翻譯”問題，當看到第三本的時候……嗯，確實是作者寫作水平的問題…… 先說寫作問題，《一味》是記錄威爾伯日常生活和思考的書，因為他腦子實在太活躍，又知道的太多，有太多想錶達的，所以你看到的東西不是說非常意識流的...
