The book emphasizes behavior, and how this behavior can be modeled for analysis. It shows that structural analysis is at best approximate, and explains how "capacity design" can be used to improve performance.

這本書是我讀的寥寥無幾的幾本外文專業書之一，剛開始覺得這中詞典般厚度的書我是不會看的，直到有次百無聊賴打開看瞭一會，首先，真的很通俗易懂，我這英文水平算是夠菜的，卻也讀的進去，現在還沒看完，隻看瞭前麵一部分，由淺及深，我錶示不錯。
