作为一本学术著作很好看了。points: ch2区分了vertical political support; ch3 interrogates consequences of nationalism (reduce demand for democratization and civil disobedience); ch6: central government purposely exploits public anger towards local authorities to gain support; ch8 survey experiment in authoritarian setting。Empirical part有点东拼西凑，但整体来说还好。
