The Dursleys were so mean and hideous that summer that all Harry Potter wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike.

And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny.

But each of these seem minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone -- or something -- starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects... Harry Potter himself?

Magic but the three children are just like detectives.  

如果说第一部的主题是勇气， 那第二部就是忠诚。 所有人对霍格沃茨的忠诚。 其实《哈利波特》中真正的主角，是霍格沃茨，那所可爱的学校。 因为要知道那种忠诚，绝非跟在老虎后面的狐狸的骄傲，而是那种交付整个生命的信任。仿若跟在将军身后的万马千军，宝剑高举，澄澈的眼...  

哈利的华丽冒险在系列作品的第二部里算是正式展开了。对于整个《哈利波特》系列来说，一个奇幻却又不失严谨的巫师世界系统已经在第一部里构建完成。在《哈利波特和秘室》里，JK罗琳要考虑的，应该是在这个平台基础上，讲述一个比第一部更加精彩的故事，当然，我觉得她做到了...  

还记得小时候第一次从书店买来哈利波特。那家小小的书店，就在我家门口走路五分钟之内的地方。一对中年夫妻，戴着眼镜，男人总在看报纸。很闭塞的空间，四面有很多杂志、书、还有辅导教材。我每周会从那里买读者、青年文摘，妈妈会买小说月报。我最喜欢的还有迪士尼的《米老鼠...  

既然其他书都提不起兴趣，至少还有哈里波特。用非常快的速度看了哈2，看得出罗琳在写2的时候为了照顾新加入的读者，在很多地方都不厌其烦地重新解释了一些1里面已经出现的名词和人物介绍，有点象柯南每部剧场版之前的背景交待一样，让第一次看到它的观众也能明白个大概，而非懵...
