大约只有三分之一的内容聚焦在Rodriguez身上，讲述他七十年代创作过程的更是少之甚少。其余更像是Craig，Sugar和Malik的回忆录，实在打不起兴趣。不过与书相比，那部纪录片的展示甚狡猾”。电影里只截取了Rodriguez回到南非的故事，然而他的职业生涯则是经历了数次“重生”，在70年代末也在澳大利亚有类似的cult狂热，南非巡演之后其实也无较大起色，最终还是靠这部纪录片在美国打出了名声。
