Claude Shannon传，作为一个不爱显摆，比较封闭的人，他的传记其实不好写，因为难以进入他的内心世界。Shannon的厉害之处在于与生俱来的好奇心、游戏心态，以及超强的抽象能力。不管是读书、工作，还是教学，从不计较结果，只在乎这个问题是否好玩，即使开辟了一个新领域，如果不如以前好玩也会主动退出。在他追求兴趣的同时，有幸遇到了过去一百年最聪明的一群人，不过也是因为内向，除少数人之外他与多数人并没有深入合作。晚年患阿尔茨海默症，不再能思考，令人感伤。

咱的祖师爷，必须读。伟大的数学家和工程师。看到后面他患阿尔茨海默症后的生活，眼里不禁泛出泪花。虽然不少故事我都知道，但仍不失为一本很好的传记。

幾年前工作時偶然看到一家上海硬盤製造企業名字中就有「香濃」一詞，當時就問同事Alex此君是誰，被告知是天才式人物，後來維基百科後方知此君過人之處。拜讀其傳記才知此君是現在科技發展幕後功臣，功勳遠在蓋茨、喬布斯之上，卻不被大眾所熟知。此君畢生在好奇中探索並為之而樂此不疲，終其一生，碩果累累。自建國伊始，大學及科研機構奠定了美國繁榮之基石，時至今日仍日益精進，一騎絕塵。
