帕特里克·贝尔福，(1904—1976)第三任金洛斯男爵，苏格兰历史学家、作家、记者。

1925年，贝尔福从牛津大学历史系毕业，随后开始了记者和专栏作者生涯。1940年，第二次世界大战全面爆发，贝尔福作为贵族子弟，加入了英国皇家空军，在情报部门工作。1944年到1947年，贝尔福赴英国驻开罗使馆任职，总管宣传部门，从此开启了他与中东、土耳其的不解之缘。

1947年之后，贝尔福回到自由职业。终其一生，贝尔福不是在伦敦居住，便是在中东游历，成为中东事务和历史的专家。1952年，贝尔福受英国政府委托，写作了一部经典而极富争议的土耳其国父传记，即《阿塔图尔克：一个国家的重生》。此后他还创作了一系列历史作品，包括《希腊肖像》(1956)、《埃及肖像》(1966)、《两海之间：苏伊士运河的建造》(1968)、《摩洛哥》(1971)、《圣索菲亚大教堂：一部君士坦丁堡的历史》(1972)等。《奥斯曼帝国六百年》(1977)是他写作生涯最后一本书，雕琢多年，但他生前却没能看到这本人生集成之作的出版。
