“Poverty and near-poverty for them is a condition that may have some roots in the neurobiology of intelligence beyond anyone’s control.”这句话取自作者最后一章关于社会经济地位与智力直接关系的部分，如果你认同这个观点并想了解智力的科学概念，这本书适合你。是的，作者是一位坚定认为智力只由基因与神经决定，与个体后天经验和社会环境毫无关系的学者，虽然书中没有说很多人种智力差异的事，但作者的观点显然是种族相关的基因与神经差异的确造成智力上的差异，与后天无关。抛开个人意见，目前严谨的科学分析确实偏向作者这边，这本书做了很好解释。非纯科普，读之前需要一些入门级的专业知识。

喜欢作家这种学者，他没把自己的书当成答案，而是永远强调不足。// 良心提议，购买实体书可能是更好的选择，因为kindle formatting貌似做的很差。// 给大家一些参考，我本人是比较笨的那种???? 我也没有这方面的专业知识，但是作者解释得很详细，没有assume knowledge，所以初学者大概也能看懂？
