This is a brilliant book that every writer should read, though it doesn't really teach the "how-to" about writing...It's more of an honest and realistic narrative about how a writer's life looks like, so people from the outside can take a peek into a writer...

Good for beginners though not interesting to read after all.

上完专业的所有课 还是creative writing最如沐春风 吸引人去close reading 而不是找理论去解释 用一个差劲的比喻 两者就是缉毒和吸毒的区别

Mentor推薦...Dillard真的很會寫，雖然看後並沒有太強的共鳴。個別篇章沒有搞懂與寫作人生的關係。姑且當成是一本比較abstract的guidebook，與寫論文中的自己對照，看是否可以在一部分時間內達到書中描述的那種心境和狀態...
